Kids in Space

This term we are about Space. On Monday we went to Kids in Space. Kids in Space is a programme  that  came to our school.

First we watched some videos about Space. Next we got up and did a dance to get warmed up.  After that the teacher asked if we wanted space suits and every one said yes, And she had something covered with a blanket and she pulled it off and it was a coat rack filled with space suits, And we put them on. The colours were orange blue and white i got orange. We watched videos of how to eat in space and fun in space. Then we got into groups. Then we made a rocket ship that has two straws a large straw at the

back thin straw that you put in the large straw then you yell out 321 BLAST OFF!. Then you blow the thin straw then it fly's away then it falls. After that we made a flip book of all the 8 moon phases.  Then we were playing around with the rocket ship we got like 5-10 mins.  Then we had to take the space suits off and pack up😔😔😔😔😔

In the past week we had to learn about cultures around the world. We  chose Japanese. We had to learn about what Japanese eat, famous games, their traditional holiday, traditional clothing, traditional kai, location, traditional music and beliefs and values. 

I now know that sushi is from japan not china i still get confused sometimes

I learnt that Daruma otoshi means The falling Buddha in English

I like how Japanese kai is sushi

waka Hourua

Today we worked in groups to learn about  a waka, every one got put into a group of four my group is Jade,Hirini,Travis, and me.  their are five groups of four people. each group got a different waka my group got Waka Hourua we all worked on one slide and on that slide was what the questions were and the answers.

My report on a red wolf

Red wolves

Description

Red wolves hunt a lot.

The male/alpha are at the top of the pack.

And they are really fast.

And they are really quick to snatch their fish.

Diet:

Meat and fish which makes them carnivores.

They also eat white tailed deer and horses.

Habitats:

Forests in the South Eastern Texas and Southwestern Louisiana and along with

any habitat in southeastern United States.

In the late 1970 they were only found in the north Carolina

mostly north Carolina too.

Fun facts:

Sometimes they jump for their prey. 

Red wolves put their heads up to make a high pitched howl. 

Red wolves are endangered. 

They hunt and live in packs and they are mammals. 

 Did you know they don't sneak up on their prey! 

digital potrait im really lovin it

today i was learning to create a digital potrait using sumo paint.

 I found  outlineing  it very tricky. I will only use straight lines next time to challenge myself   my  hair was hard also. I learned to make another layer before you draw i will take my time next time
